Apply to join our Poetic Uprising Sandbox on March 26th at 11am-2pm PT/2pm-5pm ET. We are partnering with the national spoken word poetry organization Youth Speaks to host a Sandbox session catered towards youth (under 30). We are looking for youth knowledgeable in narrative strategy who have participated in any Story-based Strategy training to join us in exploring and prototyping creative direct action, action logic, and inspiring radical interventions in the dominant narrative with art and poetry at the crux of what is possible. Learn how to become strategic in where and how you host actions based on your overall goals and the impact you want on a powerful political target or your community.

What is a Point of Intervention?
It's a place in a system—a physical system or a system of ideas—where action can be taken to interfere with the story and change it. Our message and actions combine to tell a story. By learning about this, we have a starting point to imagine our own creative direct actions and how poetry and spoken word can impact not only those who support us but also those in power to change policy and ideas. What’s a Sandbox?
A sandbox is a space where we build our movements' capacity to radically imagine, create, play, and share exciting ideas that have the potential to #changethestory on issues that matter to us. Sandboxes also bring participants together to learn concrete creative skills and prototype narrative interventions in a low-risk, high-support, and collaborative environment. Our methodology: Story-based Strategy
Story-based Strategy is a set of tools that helps us observe dominant narratives around us, discover and imagine our own stories, and share stories, messaging, and frameworks that resonate with the people and communities in which we engage. Our framework for the sandbox is expanding our movement for a just transition. A just transition is a framework for shifting to a living and sustainable economy that prioritizes democracy, workers' rights, and supporting communities directly affected by environmental and economic changes.
